Louis Fliss has lived in the Toronto vicinity his entire life and 7 of those years in the riding andFlemingdonPark. An astonishing 22 year employee and Senior Chiropodist at the Flemingdon Health Centre. Louis is a strong determinants of health advocate and mulidisciplinarian team player and has implemented some most innovative client-centered practices at the centre. Extensive knowledge of provincially related programs through Health and Safety, Chronic Disease Self-Management, Falls Prevention; and presently responsible for preparing the centre’s compliance in AODA client disability legislation.
He has taken on a lengthy activist role in promoting active transport for the community affiliating with the Evergreen Brick Works and helped complete and launch a recent 8-80s strategy report on Thorncliffe andFlemingdonParks. By championing the Gateway Greenbelt Initiative Real results were executed by the city in this critical ravine. He has been active in other riding initiatives relating to the DonTrailsand the Metrolinx/Transit City Eglinton LRT and was recently invited to CBC morning radio representing FlemingdonPark.
Louis doesn’t see a separation between environmental issues and family health issues. The Green Party believes the same and under the great leadership of Mike Shreiner, the party will tackle the full gambit of provincial issues and will bring long term accountability and direction toOntario’s future.
Louis is a former Can-Bike safety instructor and feels comfortable taking family and friends biking. Also a great nature lover he enjoys hiking the great ravines of the city and other wonderfulOntariopreserves. Louis has 2 boys Jordan and Jonathan and his eldest is very active in the campaign. A proud moment indeed !!
